1.
Here I am, head in the sand Why did I come here? Why did I think I was home? Sail through the ocean storm I could feel a light at the end of the road. Isn't it sweet with nothing to eat I should go and venture I should see the sights of the town What then could bring me down to my bended knee? What could I hope to acheive? When I return will I still yearn To seek for a fortune on streets that are paved with gold? I shouldn't feel so old Now I'm here in heaven, here in hell I came here on my own acord.
2.
I can see raindrops fall From the roof to the floor Is it me is it me or do we Still you're here sleeping sound lying next to me not yet drowned Is it me is it me or do we live here In a room that is covered in mold With windows of old, five layers all told To save from the nights cold Number 12, Berkeley Av. A summers dream we never had Is it me is it me or do we live here In a room that is covered in mold With windows of old, five layers all told To save from the nights cold Oh my dearest lover divine You are beautiful, you are wonderful To stay here with me and rot
3.
Summer time feels it's best in December Weather so fine home is hard to remember How could I feel so alive, summer in winter with you Frozen nights and it feels like an encore Sunrises light the volcanoes to conquer How could I feel so alive, summer in winter with you Out on a mountain range, love without estrange Do I feel a change in my mind, in my heart? Hold my hand I won't be a pretender One with a kiss and to you I surrender How could I feel so alive, summer in winter
4.
As the light begins to fade I watch over you on your final day How does it feel? How does it feel dying with our grace? Love, was it our place? You came to our home with your two sons And we stuck with you then, now you're the last go How does it feel? How does it feel ending life so short? Love, it's what we're taught How does it feel? How does it feel now that you are gone? Love, will you live on?

about

Self-recorded at George’s childhood home in Northallerton, this is a first step into a larger production featuring drums, double bass, keys and a string quartet. This EP also features the track ‘Streets Paved With Gold’ which happened to find it’s way across the globe onto Japanese hit TV show, ‘Terrace House’.
